Why do we hear so little of the genocide of gypsies by the Nazis?

The Jewish holocaust has been the subject of numerous books, films and doentaries. Very little appears to have been written about Hitler's attempts to exterminate gypsies (romanies). Is this because gypsies are less articulate than jewish people.
