What were the reasons our forefathers divided the government into legislative, executive, and judicial bra

So that they would all have equal power. This way, nobody has absolute power, and they can keep each other in check. Congress can't p laws without it ping through the president, and the president can't p laws without it ping through Congress. Same with Judicial except they enforce laws. Hope it helped
