To settle a debate...?

What is a "wisdom tooth"? My friend and I have been debating over what a wisdom tooth is. She seems to think it's a baby tooth that never came out when all your kiddie teeth come out and I told her it was jus some tooth that's there or can grow in later on in life, so.....who's right here?
