Need Help with MPH Math!?

Ok so i have a dilemma, I got a ticket the other day and i know how fast i was going (45mph) and the cop claimed i was going 60, I was at a stop light and turned on Green. once i seen sirens i came to a complete stop @ .30miles from where he first seen me. He was facing the other way and out side of his car talking to another cop, he hopped in his car, made a u-turn, and sped up to pull me over he claims i was going already 60 past him, My car can go 0-60 in 5.8sec,his car goes 0-60 mph in 8.7 sec. hope this is enough info. and the stop wasnt a slam on breaks stop, it was a gradual maybe 3-4sec to stop.
